Southern Cal rolled over Penn State in almost comic fashion 38-24, notching yet another Rose Bowl win. Riding the arm of Mark Sanchez and his 413 yards and 4 TDs, the Trojans built a 31-7 halftime lead before lettling off the gas late. In doing so, they finished the Pac-10 bowl season with a perfect 5-0 record.The much maligned Pac-10 silenced their critics with physical play in their wins over teams from the Mountain West, ACC, Big 12, Big East, and Big 10. After graduationg a lot of talent, the Pac-10 showed showed how a conference with a lot of young players can improve over the course of a season. It also demonstrates, once again, the terrible coverage of west coast football, and how over-hyped conferences like the (defense optional) Big-12 are.
