University of Arizona released a photo of their new copper top helmets to be worn sometime in the 2012 season. The Wildcats have mostly avoided the parade of different helmets so prevalent in college football today. Since 1981 they've worn their traditional white helmet. Then in 2004 they added a navy blue lid. Athletic Director Greg Byrne said the copper look evokes the state's mining history, but will not replace the school's traditional red and blue.
